“There’s Not Enough For Everyone”

The title of the work quotes the German dramatist and essayist Heiner Müller, saying “there’s not enough for everyone”, reflecting on capitalism and the impact of wealthy countries’ politics on poverty and injustice throughout the world. This work was first conceived in spring 2020 and completed in fall 2022 during a period of stress and anxiety due to the political climate in the world. It is a reflection on disappearing economic resources, media manipulation, propaganda and the growing alienation within western society. It states the continuing relevance of Müllers thoughts and texts. It is a dystopian landscape, a woven crash of plastics, and finally a memorial to Heiner Müller.

Der Titel der Arbeit zitiert den deutschen Dramatiker und Essayisten Heiner Müller mit den Worten „Für alle reicht es nicht“, wenn er über den Kapitalismus und die Auswirkungen der Politik wohlhabender Länder auf Armut und Ungerechtigkeit in der ganzen Welt nachdenkt. Diese Arbeiten wurden erstmals im Frühjahr 2020 begonnen und im Herbst 2022 in einer Zeit des Stresses und der Angst aufgrund des politischen Klimas in der Welt abgeschlossen. Es ist eine Reflexion über schwindende wirtschaftliche Ressourcen, Medienmanipulation, Propaganda und die wachsende Entfremdung innerhalb der westlichen Gesellschaft. Es verweist auf die anhaltende Aktualität von Müllers Gedanken und Texte. Es ist eine dystopische Landschaft, ein gewobener Krach aus Plastik und schließlich ein Denkmal für Heiner Müller.
