Projected Networks is supposed to give the possibility not only to see oneself as an individual, but to search for, and set specific connections. Questions that address unknown stereotypes of relationships are meant to suggest a connected existence that can lead to new networks through associations, coincidences, and even absurdities. The final work of art does not exist. There should be a constant change and adaptation with new positions and connections. Participation is the condition of the installation. This “playground” is meant to dissect bubbles and assemble a newly imagined community: an inviting mesh in which to intervene, but in which to also allow a repositioning of oneself by others. Instructions for participation are available inside the installation. The entrance to the work is located on the back.

Projected Networks soll eine Möglichkeit geben, sich selbst nicht nur als Individuum zu sehen, sondern gezielt Verknüpfungen zu suchen und zu setzen. Fragen, welche die unbekannten Stereotypen von Beziehungsarten ansprechen, sollen ein verbundenes Dasein vorschlagen, das über Assoziationen, Zufälle und auch Absurditäten zu neuen Netzwerken führen kann. Ein finales Kunstwerk ist nicht existent. Es soll eine stetige Veränderung und Anpassung mit neuen Positionen und Verknüpfungen geben. Erst durch Partizipation kann der Hauptfokus dieser Arbeit erahnt werden, welche als Grundlage der Installation dient. Dieser „Spielplatz” soll Bubbles sprengen und eine neu erdachte Gemeinschaft zusammenstellen: Ein einladendes Geflecht, in das eingegriffen werden soll, aber in welches man sich aber auch hineinsetzt, um eine Neupositionierung der eigenen Person von Dritten zuzulassen. Besucher*innen finden eine Anleitung zur Teilnahme im Inneren der Installation. Der Eingang befindet sich auf der Rückseite.

Flo Gutmann (*2000) works in the field of design and art. He uses installations, often as collaborative works with participatory aspects. In these works, a high value is attributed to craftsmanship: wood, metal, but also electronic and digital components come together to take their respective place in the final product. With technical knowledge, he intervenes in artistic processes and uses his enabler position in works with shared authorship, for example in the CLUB FORTUNA at the Kunsthaus Graz or with the association g.o.l.f.Klub. In addition to working in design and art production, he has been studying at the Institute of Art Sciences and Art Education at the University of Applied Arts Vienna since 2020.
Flo Gutmann (*2000) arbeitet im Design- und Kunstbereich. Seine Arbeiten generieren sich vor allem durch Installation, oft auch als kollaborative Werke mit partizipativen Aspekten. In diesen Arbeiten wird dem Handwerk ein hoher Stellenwert zugeschrieben. Holz, Metall, aber auch elektronische und digitale Komponenten kommen zusammen und vereinen sich im Endprodukt. Durch technisches Wissen greift er in künstlerische Prozesse ein und nutzt seine Enabler-Position bei Arbeiten mit geteilter Autorenschaft. Wie zum Beispiel im CLUB FORTUNA im Kunsthaus Graz oder mit dem Verein g.o.l.f.Klub. Neben der Arbeit in der Design- und Kunstproduktion studiert er seit 2020 am Institut für Kunstwissenschaften, Kunstpädagogik und Kunstvermittlung an der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien.
