We used four paper coffee cups, four magnifiers, one cheese plate, two Ikea lamps, one roulette handle, one ventilator, one transparent paper, and one A4 paper and built two devices that animate two stories, related to each other. In the first story, an eye blinks behind a keyhole and observes the audience that observes it. In the second story, when a roulette rotates, an eye blinks, and the iris changes colors. It varies from red to black and backward; it stops when the roulette stops.
This work was produced in the context of a lecture held by Anna Vasof.

Wir haben vier Kaffeebecher aus Papier, vier Lupen, einen Käseteller, zwei Ikea-Lampen, einen Roulettegriff, einen Ventilator, ein transparentes Papier und ein A4-Papier verwendet und damit zwei Geräte gebaut, die zwei miteinander verbundene Geschichten animieren. In der ersten Geschichte blinzelt ein Auge hinter einem Schlüsselloch und beobachtet das Publikum, das es beobachtet. In der zweiten Geschichte blinzelt ein Auge, wenn sich ein Roulette dreht, und die Iris des Auges ändert ihre Farbe. Sie wechselt von rot zu schwarz und wieder zurück und hört auf, wenn das Roulette anhält.
Diese Arbeit entstand in einem Seminar geleitet von Anna Vasof.
Galina Emelina (1985, Siberia), student of art and communicative practice (kkp) and design, material culture and experimental practice (dex), grew up in Cologne, works as design thinking coach and visual facilitator. Emelina has studied Interface design, Media and Cultural Studies and Cultural Anthropology before coming back to Vienna to continue her art education studies. Her hobbies are songwriting, music composition and DJing.
Iris Martina Mair (1985) is born in Innsbruck and studies art and communicative practice (kkp) and design, material culture and experimental practice (dex). Mair works as a biologist and teacher in adult
education.
Natalie Steinbach is currently completing a bachelor‘s degree in biology and environmental studies at the University of Vienna, as well as studying art and communicative practice (kkp) at the University of Applied Arts. At the University of Vienna, she is involved in the research and teaching apiary of AECC-Biology, where she shares her knowledge about bees with school classes as part of the Kinderuni. In her artistic works, she explores the materiality of painting and drawing media.

Galina Emelina (*1985, Sibirien), Studierende von Kunst und kommunikative Praxis (kkp) und Design, materielle Kultur und experimentelle Praxis (dex), aufgewachsen in Köln, arbeitet als Design Thinking Coach und Visual Facilitator. Emelina hat Interface Design, Medien- und Kulturwissenschaften und Kulturanthropologie studiert, bevor sie zurück nach Wien kam, um ihr Studium der Kunstpädagogik fortzusetzen. Ihre Hobbys sind Songwriting, Musikkomposition und DJing.

auf Lehramt an der Universität Wien und Kunst und kommunikative Praxis (kkp) an der Universität für angewandte Kunst. An der Universität Wien ist sie am Forschungs- und Lehrbienenstand des AECC-Biologie beteiligt, wo sie ihr Wissen über Bienen im Rahmen der Kinderuni an Schulklassen weitergibt. In ihren künstlerischen Arbeiten beschäftigt sie sich mit der Materialität von Mal- und Zeichenmitteln.
